Tune into 1060 AM at 11 AM on Sunday, January 26th to hear our interview with Fashion Forward’s host, Kathy Bacon!
Too busy? We get that. Don’t worry, the MP3 of the entire interview will be up on our website after it airs.
“Fashion is very important. It is life enhancing and, like everything that gives pleasure, it is worth doing well.” – Vivienne Westwood
From Farren: I always dress for myself, no matter the occasion, I’m always looking for new and different pieces that allow me to express my individuality and personality. The best accessory to go with any outfit is always confidence. A girl with confidence can wear anything and always look like a million bucks!
“A woman can carry a bag, but it is the shoe that carries the woman.” – Christian Louboutin
Victoria is from New York and is Director of Legal Services at Lord and Taylor. Here is what she had to say on Colorado’s fashion:
Colorado fashion uses bright colors – especially skiers and snowboarders. I found this to be really inspiring. You see a lot more black and grey in NYC during the winter. I’ve been mixing a lot of prints and textures this winter to try and keep things interesting when the weather is dreary.
I believe strongly in high-low fashion. I would describe my style as focusing on buying very high quality accessories, spending money on a handful of really luxe garments like leather skirts and cashmere sweaters, and then going low budget for trendier pieces and basics. Sorry Mary-Kate & Ashley, I’m not paying $250 for a white t-shirt.
“Simplicity in character, in manners, in style; in all things the supreme excellence is simplicity.” – Henry Wadsworth Longsfellow
Simplicity and style can be a harmonious combination. Many people shy away from dressing up because they think it requires a level of complexity, but the truth is, a simple ensemble can be every bit as striking. Margaret combines the eye-catching shade of her cashmere sweater with a wool skirt, coaxing a chic and streamlined winter look.
“To me, clothing is a form of self expression – there are hints about who you are in what you wear” – Marc Jacobs
We only spoke to Gabe for a moment, but even before we approached him, we could tell he was comfortable with his style. “My wife and I just said the other day that Denver could use some fashion sense”, he told us. Gabe caught our eye because he walked with some swag, and we can’t help but think his suit had something to do with it.
“Style is when they’re running you out of town and you make it look like you’re leading the parade.”
– William Battie
Joshua Lockwood and Justin B. Deal won’t be run out of town anytime soon… we hope. But, where they go, we would gladly follow. This fine pair of men stopped us dead in our tracks when we spotted their Italian crafted suits from across 16th St. Both men have an eye for fashion, and we could not be more pleased to present them as our inaugural pair.
